Thanks to some great bands, a great audience and lots of hard work by lots of people, the first annual Down From The Mountain Music Fest in Eureka, MT was a big success; big enough to do it again this year! And it’s going to be TWO nights of music this year instead of one; Friday, August 19th and Saturday August 20th! Like last year, everyone on the bill is a friend of mine. My old buddy, record producer and Ego Brother, John Evans is bringing his band up from Texas, my good friend and songwriting partner, Matt Skinner and his people are in from Colorado, my old Canadian road pal, Romi Mayes is coming, and my favourite AC/DC tribute band ever, BC/DC from Nelson, BC are gonna play our party Friday night. I’ve known those guys for years and they’re awesome. And who doesn’t like a little Hell’s Bells and High Voltage to ease into the weekend? Yours truly, Corb Lund and my band, The Hurtin’ Albertans will close things out Saturday night.
We had a great mix of American friends and Canadians attending the festival last year, which we’re really happy about. It’s a tradition we’d like to continue this year. For those who don’t know, Eureka is just a few miles across the US/CDN border, just south of Fernie, BC. And only a few hours drive from Alberta.
Free camping and parking are included, just like last year, so come spend the weekend!
